FPCCI trade delegation visits Lebanon on invitation of PM Hariri
A 28- member trade delegation comprising prominent members of the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FPCCI) invited by Prime Minister of Lebanon, Saad Hariri visited Lebanon
FPCCI officials sharing details of the visit said the delegation headed by Irfan Sarwana, Vice President of FPCCI included entrepreneurs from different business sectors of the country. During the visit, the delegation was said to held various high level meetings with the Government Officials and representatives of Business community of Lebanon . Pakistani delegation also had an exclusive meeting at the Ministry of Economy and Trade with Jacqueline Melhem during which measures to boost trade ties between the two countries were reviewed and discussed.
PMEX commodity index closes at 2,864 points
Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited's commodity index on Monday closed at 2,864 points. The total traded value of metals, energy and COTS/FX was recorded at Rs 5.215 billion and number of lots traded was 19,056, says statement released today.
MFBs asked to use biometric technology
Following a series of measures to curb money laundering and terror financing, the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) asked all microfinance banks (MFBs) on Monday to use biometric technology for the verification of customers and complete this process by the end of 2017.
