Minister for Planning Ahsan Iqbal has said knowledge based economy is the need of the hour and only those nations can survive which adapt to the changing tones of times.

He was addressing inaugural function of a scheme launched by Pakistan Science Foundation to groom students from middle class to become future scientists.     

He expressed the confidence that 1.5 billion rupee Science Talent Farming Scheme would help students fulfill their dream of getting quality education. 

The Minister said the long term policies are a pre-requisite for continued national growth and the present Government's vision 2025 endorses the fact.

He said we have precedents to follow in the form of great Muslim scientists who rendered exemplary services in the field of science and technology.
