West African nations have launched a military operation in Gambia, aiming to install its new President Adama Barrow and remove long-time ruler Yahya Jammeh.
Barrow took the oath of office at the Gambian embassy in Senegal's capital, Dakar, and his legitimacy has been recognised internationally.
The West African regional bloc Ecowas has now given Yahya Jammeh until noon to leave office otherwise he will be removed by force.
