Prominent international companies have acknowledged the policies of the present Government
This was stated by Senior Executives of leading international companies while speaking at a dinner hosted by Abraaj Group of UAE at Davos. The leading international companies are including City Bank, Unilever, McKinsey and others.It was also attended by Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif as chief guest. Senior Executives of leading international companies termed Pakistan as one of the most investment friendly countries in the world. The Executives candidly spoke about the change brought by the present government in ease of doing business in Pakistan. Government has made Pakistan as investment friendly country.

Finance Minister addresses-it is a historic occasion as the Chinese Consortium will bring their expertise to Pakistan Stock Exchange
Finance Minister Ishaq Dar addressing the the signing ceremony of Pakistan Stock Exchange and Shanghai Consortium of China in Karachi says Pakistan Stock Exchange has acquired the status of one of the fastest growing stock exchanges in the region Shanghai Consortium of China purchased forty percent share of Pakistan Stock Exchange.The international organizations have acknowledged the economic progress in Pakistan.Pakistan Stock Exchange has already crossed 50,000 points for the first time in the country's history, which is a historic achievement. Speaking on the occasion, Chinese Ambassador Sun Weidong congratulated Pakistani investors on the agreement and hoped this usher in a new era of stock exchange business in Pakistan.
Next NFC Award to be announced within six months
The Senate held discussion on the 2nd Biannual Monitoring report on the Implementation of National Finance Commission Award (January-June, 2016 moved by Minister of State for Education and Professional Training Muhammad Balighur Rehman. Taking part in the discussion, the members demanded early finalization of the next National Finance Commission Award for better distribution of resources among the provinces.
PIA becomes first Pakistani airline to fly Boeing 737-800 Aircraft
The aircrafts will begin operation from today with six flights including four between Karachi and Lahore and one flight each between Karachi-Multan-Islamabad and Islamabad-Karachi. The Boeing 737-800 aircrafts have a capacity of carrying one hundred and eighty nine passengers in all-economy configuration. The two aircrafts were obtained by PIA on wet lease for a period of three months from a Turkish operator earlier this week. According to PIA spokesman, two more similar aircrafts are expected to join the national flag carrier`s fleet in the coming weeks. These aircrafts are an effort to meet the immediate shortage of aircraft created due to the grounding of four aged A-310 crafts last year.
