In India, thousands of farmers continue protests and staged sit-ins against controversial black agricultural laws passed by Modi government.

Talking to international media, farmers like Bapu Nishtar Singh said the laws are an attempt to erode a longstanding minimum support price for their crops assured by the government and will enable a few corporations to control vast agriculture sector.

Thousands of farmers, mainly from Punjab, Haryana and Uttar Pradesh states marched on their tractors, motorbikes and on foot to New Delhi to put pressure on the government to repeal black laws. They were stopped from entering the capital, and now they have established camps outside New Delhi.

Hundreds of tents have been pitched along three key highways leading to Punjab, Haryana and Uttar Pradesh states where farmers have set up makeshift kitchens, clinics, and even libraries sending out a clear message to the fascist Indian government that they are ready for a long haul.
