Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Information and Broadcasting, Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan says anyone found involved in misusing of authority will have to face law of the land.

Taking to a private news channel, she said the government functionaries violating rule and regulations would be asked to explain the reason for power abuse.

About Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, she said there were some allegations of irregularities against the former prime minister regarding Liquefied Natural Gas and that was why NAB was questioning him.  

In reply to a question about coverage of the National Assembly session, she said the state television airs live coverage of the parliament's session.    

She said media enjoys full freedom but it will have to play its role in accordance with the rules and regulations of Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority.
