Qaiser Bangali (Economist): The incumbent government has taken some bold steps to boost economy but Increase in tax revenue alone is not sufficient to improve economy. More efforts are required to cope with grave issues and challenging economic situation. It is responsibility of the government to run parliament smoothly. The opposition should not create any disturbance in the parliament. Issuance of production order is appreciable.

CPEC related economic initiatives are positively influencing socio-economic situation of the country. More jobs are being created. Gwadar has witnessed massive development. Energy and economic sector is flourishing and special economic zones are changing the industrial outlook of the country. Enemies of Pakistan are envious of Pakistan’s growing economy. Incumbent government is committed to complete the project in accordance with vision 2030. CPEC is a flagship project of one belt one road initiative. It is a golden opportunity for Pakistan to change it socio-economic fabric.
Senator Anwar ul Haq Kakar (Senator PTI): The budget has passed in very tough economic situation and incumbent government has done a credible job to meet the expectation of the general public. Pakistan is facing the consequences of ill practices and wrong economic policies of previous governments. Sufficient revenue generation is the ultimate aim of government to improve country’s economy. The government has taken concrete and bold steps to uplift the economy. PTI government is also taking tough decisions to update the complicated mechanism of tax collection. FBR is being updated to change the tax collection culture. PTI led government seems committed to bring structural reforms in FBR to improve existing and outdated system of revenue generation.

The speedy completion of CPEC related projects is vital to get maximum benefit of the project. It is appreciable that incumbent government is committed to complete CPEC on time. All the institutions of Pakistan are on same page regarding economic development of the country. Economic zones are highly beneficial for economic stability, industrial growth and regional connectivity. Despite all external and internal challenges, it is need of the hour to complete mega project without any delay.

Special economic zones would guarantee massive job opportunities and economic uplift. Connectivity will ensure outreach of Pakistani products in international markets.
