Provincial Minister for Works Dr Muhammad Iqbal has said that enhancement of development budget of Gilgit-Baltistan has geared up development process in the area.

In an interview with radio Pakistan Gilgit on Sunday, he said that a large number of projects in road infrastructure, RCC bridges, health, education and other sectors are being set up.

The Minister said that Prime Minister has enhanced the development budget of Gilgit-Baltistan from 18 billion to 24 billion rupees.

He said that under Public Sector Development Program (PSDP) over one hundred billion rupees projects including Gilgit Skardu Road, Baltistan University and Gilgit Naltar expressway will change the fate of the people of Gilgit-Baltistan.
