A four-day traditional annual Jashan-e-Baharan Festival commonly known as "Mela Aspaan" will begin in Dera Ismail Khan from Thursday.

The inaugural ceremony will be held at Ratta Kulachi Sports Stadium.

Tehsil Nazim Dera Ismail Khan, Umar Amin Gandapur told our Dera Ismail Khan correspondent that different local games including wrestling, gymnastics, horse race and cultural dances, dog race and PT Show will be held in the festival.

He said various government departments including Livestock and Dairy development, Wildlife, Social welfare and education will set up stalls.

A large number of people and famous artist will also participating in the festival. 

The District administration has made fool proof security arrangements for this event whereas special unit of Rescue 1122 will also be deployed to cope with any emergency situation.
