The Afghan Taliban have rejected reports that they are ready to resume talks with US Representative for Afghanistan Reconciliation, Zalmay Khalilzad in Pakistan.

A Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid in a tweet called such reports as rumors saying that we will not hold any meeting with Zalmay Khalilzad in Islamabad.

He also rejected any direct deal with the Afghan government saying that it is not capable to address our demands.
