In Mexico, the death toll in a pipeline explosion has risen to 73. Hidalgo state Governor Omar Fayad announced the latest toll.

The accident occurred after hundreds swarmed to the site of an illegal fuel-line tap to gather gasoline amid a government crackdown on fuel theft.

President Lopez Obrador who took office in December last year, has vowed to keep up the fight against fuel theft.
