Governor Punjab Muhammad Rafique Rajwana says census is very important for the country as it helps in just distribution of national resources and planning of development projects.

Talking to Chief Census Commissioner Asif Bajwa in Lahore, he said the last census was held in 1998 during the government of PML-N, and now again census is being conducted by PML-N government.

He said it is encouraging that people have awareness about importance of census and they are cooperating with the staff of the census.

Meanwhile, talking to President of Tatarastan Rustam Minni Khanov in Lahore, Punjab governor said that CPEC has enhanced economic significance of Pakistan in this region which should be utilized by other countries.

He said that such visits would not only boost trade and economic relations between two countries but it would help bring people of both countries closer to each other.

He said that Pakistan is being considered an economically stable country.
