Dasu dam to start power generation by 2019
Chairman WAPDA said 2,160 megawatt electricity will be produced from six units in the first phase.
Chairman WAPDA, Syed Raghib Abbas Shah has said Dasu dam will start power generation by March 2019.
Briefing the Senate Standing Committee on Water and Power today [Wednesday] in Islamabad, he said in the first phase, 2,160 megawatt electricity will be produced from six units, while 4,320 megawatt will be generated in the second phase.
Minister of State for Water and Power, Abid Sher Ali informed the Committee that the government is focusing on early completion of Dasu and Munda dams as well as other power projects.
