Dastgir urges Bahraini investors to benefit from opportunities in Pakistan
Commerce Minister said the government is following the policy of trade liberalization.
Commerce Minister Khurram Dastagir Khan has urged Bahraini investors to take benefit from investment opportunities in Pakistan.
Addressing Pakistan-Bahrain Business Forum in Islamabad, he said the government is following the policy of trade liberalization. He said due to the government\\\'s policies, the economy is on right track now.
The Minister said ample ground is available in Pakistan to broaden Pakistan-Bahrain business. He said recently Pakistan has been awarded with GSP Plus status enabling the access of Pakistani products in European markets on zero tariffs.
On the occasion, Chairman Investment Board Miftah Ismail said the government is working on 20,000 to 25,000 megawatt electricity projects. He said Pakistan has huge treasures of coal, however, due to shortage in expertise it is struggling to grab the benefits.
