U.S. warplane downs Syrian army jet in Raqqa province
The United States military has shot down a Syrian Air Force fighter SU-22 near the Syrian town of Tabqa in Raqqah.
American military statement said Syrian Jet dropped bombs near its partner force Syrian Democratic Force and it acted in "collective self defense" of its partner forces.
Meanwhile, Iran has fired several missiles at Daesh's headquarters in Dayr al-Zawr killing a "large number" of militants and destroying their equipment and weapons.
Iranian Revolutionary Guards in its statement said the missiles were launched from Iran's western provinces of Kermanshah and Kordestan in response to the recent Daesh-claimed terror attacks in Tehran.
