Taliban attack NATO post in Nangarhar
The attack took place in parking compound of a NATO base.
In Afghanistan, Taliban attacked a NATO post in the eastern Nangarhar province on Thursday destroying dozens of vehicles.
The attack took place in the parking compound of a NATO base near the Torkham crossing on the border.
A spokesman for the provincial governor said one attacker blew himself up while police killed the other three. He said 37 trucks containing fuel and other supplies were destroyed in explosions set off by the attackers.
Meanwhile, some supporters of Afghan presidential candidate Abdullah Abdullah demonstrated in Kabul on Thursday against alleged election fraud.
Earlier, Abdullah Abdullah boycotted the vote count.
The United Nations has described Abdullah's decision as regrettable.
