PM vows to defeat terrorists
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif says government will extend full support to internally displaced persons.
Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif has said that Pakistan is fighting a defining battle in the nation’s history and God willing, terrorists will be defeated.
He said this while chairing a high-level meeting in Islamabad on Thursday which was attended by Chief Minister Punjab.
It was agreed in the meeting that operational success in Waziristan is linked with national unity, peace and stability and there is a need to extend full support to our jawans in the combat area.
The meeting also decided that all possible resources will be allocated to look after the IDPs in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
During the meeting Chief Minister Punjab briefed the Prime Minister regarding Lahore incident. He informed that strict action is being taken against those who were involved and found responsible and there will be no compromise on justice.
The meeting was also attended by Minister for Defence Khawaja Muhammad Asif, Information Minister Pervaiz Rashid, Minister for Planning Ahsan Iqbal, Minister for Railway Khwaja Saad Rafique and Minister for States and Frontier Regions Lt Gen (R) Abdul Qadir Baloch.
