Moon urges to invest in youth employment initiatives
UN Secretary-General has asked the world community to promote decent work for all.
The UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon has urged Governments to invest more in youth employment initiatives and promote decent work for all.
In his remarks to the UN International Labour Organization in Geneva, he noted that half of the world's young people in the labour force are either working poor or unemployed.
Ban Ki-moon also urged trade unions, employers' organizations and the private sector at large to empower youth in their own structures and engage with youth-led organizations.
