Khyber Pakhtunkhwa receives 70,000 IDPs from North Waziristan: Khattak
Chief Minister says camps have been established in FR Bannu.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Pervez Khattak says provincial government has made all necessary arrangements for Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) of North Waziristan.
In a press briefing, he said 70,000 IDPs have so far been registered in the province and provincial government has immediately released 350 million rupees for them.
He said the federal government has promised 500 million and National Disaster Management Authority 100 million rupees for IDPs.
The Chief Minister said that camps have been established in FR Bannu.
He said transport, polio vaccines to children and medical facilities are being provided to IDPs at the entry points.
Pervez Khattak said that Pakistan army is also helping the civil administration in the registration process.
