According to Pakistan Meteorological Department, different parts of the country received showers during the last 24 hours: Murree 33, Islamabad (saidpur) 27, Kotli 26, Balakot 25, M.B. Din 24, Abbotabad & Rawlakot 17, Cherat 14, Malam Jabba 12, Chakwal 10, Peshawar 06, Rawalpindi, Mangla 05, Drosh, Chitral & Risalpur 01mm.

While the highest temperature recorded during the last 24 hours were: Turbat 50, Sibbi 47, Dadu 46, Jacobabad, Bhakkar, Sukkur, Shaheed Benazirabad and Bahawalnagar 45.

Mainly hot and dry weather is likely in most parts of the country during next 12 hours.        

However, isolated rain with thundershower is expected in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Lahore, Malakand, Hazara Divisions, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir.

Temperature of some major cities recorded on Thursday morning was:  

Islamabad 24 degree centigrade, Lahore 29, Karachi 31, Peshawar 27, Quetta 20, Murree 19, Gilgit 18 and Muzaffarabad 24 degree centigrade.

According to the synoptic situation, seasonal low lies over Balochistan and adjoining areas. Moist currents from Arabian Sea are penetrating into upper parts of the country. A shallow westerly trough is also prevailing over extreme northern parts of the country.
