West Indies named uncapped batting pair Vishaul Singh and Shimron Hetmeyer and recalled Kieran Powell to face Pakistan in the first Cricket Test starting on Friday.The 13-man squad for the first in the three-match series at Sabina Park in Kingston is captained by Jason Holder.

The three day practice match between Pakistan and West Indies President eleven ended in a draw at Jamaica.Damion Jacobs picked a four-wicket haul to dismiss Pakistan for 192 runs following which Kieran Powell smashed an unbeaten 84 to help President's XI to 152 for two at stumps on the Final Day.Pakistan resumed their innings at 129 for four. Asad Shafiq and Sarfraz Ahmed consolidated the innings with a 47 run stand with the latter going on to complete a fifty.

Pakistan suffered a Setback Ahead of three-match test series against West Indies as fast bowler Hassan Ali picked up a groin injury during the team’s three-day Warm-Up Match.
A statement issued by PCB said that injury makes Hasan Ali doubtful for first test which starts on April 21.It further added that young fast-bowler would undergo progressive rehabilitation to regain strength in the groin.

Pakistan boxing coach Ali Baksh feels that it is crucial for Pakistan boxers to get international exposure if they are do good at events such as the 2017 Asian Boxing Championship, where the Pakistan Boxing Federation (PBF) is expected to send at least six pugilists.The regional mega event is scheduled to commence from April 30 in Uzbekistan and the PBF has been training the boxers in Karachi and Islamabad to prepare them for the event with coach Baksh, along with Arshad Hussain, leading the camps.
