George Khalil (MNA, PML-N):

The previous governments have not focused on energy issues of Pakistan. The Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif held a high level meeting yesterday to overcome energy problems. Our government wants prosperous and peaceful Pakistan. We will overcome energy crisis within no time. Our government has initiated many projects but their completion takes time.

Maiza Hameed (Leader, PML-N):

Prime Minister is reflecting a mature leadership. He has rightly stated that people will remember his steps for more than 40 years. It is important for common people that they should get electricity. The Prime Minister is working tirelessly for the betterment of our country. The opposition forces are trying to derail the system. The people of Pakistan are vigilant and they will vote in 2018 elections based on performance of the parties.

Dr. Murtaza Mughal (President, Economic Watch):

The incumbent government has been making right decisions since 2013. The energy projects don’t work on switch on and switch off policy. Rather, they take time for materialization. Because of unusual temperature in April, load shedding has increased. We should spread awareness in our people to avoid wastage of electricity. It is expected that government will fulfill its promises very soon.

Dr. Gulfaraz Ahmed (Economic Expert):

The project announced will operate with LNG and generate cheap electricity. This is a modern project. The government should fine tune existing capacity of power production. It should minimize wastage of electricity and increase revenue collection.
