AJK Prime Minister Chaudhry Abdul Majeed has said that government is committed to utilize all the resources for the welfare of the masses and development of the state.

Talking to   various political and social delegations   that called on him at Kashmir House Islamabad today, he said a comprehensive strategy has been adopted for the provision of basic facilities to the people of the liberated territory without any discrimination. He said government was aware of the problems faced by the masses in far-flung areas and has taken necessary steps to mitigate the suffering of the people on priority basis.

Meanwhile, talking to AJK Chief Secretary Abid Ali in Islamabad, AJK Prime Minister directed the concerned officials to ensure the establishment of good governance, merit and supremacy of law to turn Azad Kashmir into a modern welfare state. He said the next budget should be reflective of the aspirations of the people.  He said mega development projects costing billions of rupees are underway and more projects would be launched in the state during the coming fiscal year.

Earlier AJK Chief Secretary briefed the Prime Minister about, pace of progress of the ongoing developmental projects, Mangla Dam upraising project and other administrative matters of the state.
