A Memorandum of Understanding was signed between Punjab Government and the world’s largest Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (ICBC) in Murree on Sunday.  

Punjab Chief Minister, Shahbaz Sharif was the chief guest on the occasion while the Chairman of the ICBC, Mr. Jiang Jian King was also present.

Under the MoU, the bank will extend technical cooperation and know-how to the Punjab in various industrial fields including garments, auto assembling, cement, iron and steel, electric appliances and agricultural equipment.

 Besides, the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China will also provide financial assistance and consultative services to the Punjab government in foreign investment.      

The Chief Minister said the agreement would play a key role in promoting the foreign investment with the cooperation of China in the Punjab.
