Adviser on Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz has said Pakistan wants to resolve all outstanding issues with India through talks for peace in the region.

Addressing a Baisakhi-related function in Lahore, he said peace would ensure alleviation of poverty and unemployment in the region.

Sartaj Aziz said Pakistan is the custodian of major religious and sacred places of the Sikh community which are being well maintained.

Speaking on the occasion, Evacuee Trust Property Board Chairman Sidiqul Farooq said the Sikh community has expressed satisfaction over the government measures for the upkeep of Gurdwaras.
