CM, Chinese investors discuss cooperation in energy sector
Shahbaz Sharif says 10,400 megawatts of electricity will be added to national grid by end of 2017.
A group of Chinese investors called on Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif in Murree on Sunday.
They discussed ways to boost cooperation in the energy sector.
Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister said the whole world has been amazed at the great Chinese investment worth forty six billion dollars in Pakistan.
He said ten thousand four hundred megawatts of electricity will be added to the national grid by end of 2017.
Chinese investors appreciated the dynamic role being played by the Punjab Chief Minister in further strengthening the all weather and time tested Pak-China friendship.
A delegation of Shanghai Electric Corporation China and Global Mining Company also called on Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif at Murree on Sunday.
Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister said that the people of Pakistan will always remember the extraordinary cooperation extended and historical part played by China, for solution Pakistan's energy crisis.
He said that the environment related regulations will be followed while installing the coal run power plants.
He said that the best and modern technology is being acquired from world over for power production.
Speaking on the occasion, the Chinese delegation said that they are working in Pakistan, by considering it their own home.
