Chinese President's visit will help cement bilateral ties: Analysts
Chinese President Xi Jinping will be accorded a rousing welcome when he arrives in Islamabad tomorrow on a two-day state visit to Pakistan.
A fleet of eight JF-17 Thunder fighter jets will receive the President of People's Republic of China when his special plane enters the Pakistani airspace and escort him to Islamabad Airport.
A 21-gun salute will be presented to the honorable guest at the airport.
Chinese President will be accompanied by First Lady Madam Peng Liyuan, senior ministers, high-level functionaries of the Communist Party and senior government officials.
Speaking in Nuqta-e-Nazar program, Chairman Board of Investment Dr. Miftah Ismail said: “The president of China will reach Pakistan tomorrow on a two-day official visit to Pakistan. China is our reliable and sincere friend and this visit is quite significant for Pakistan. Pakistan China Economic Corridor is very important for the future prosperity of the region.”
Former Ambassador Masood Khan said: “Pakistan and China enjoy a deep strategic relationship. Chinese president will sign several agreements which will bring economic revolution in Pakistan. Chinese president has a very good talking style and he is a positive minded person. China has become stronger under the leadership of present Chinese President.”
PML-N Senator General retired Abdul Qayum said: “China is an emerging economy of the world. China is the second largest economy of the world. This is the first time in the history that China is investing such a huge investment in Pakistan. The Pakistan China economic corridor is in favour of China too because due to this route China is able to access Europe. The heads of private companies of China will also visit Pakistan along with Chinese president which will increase trade between Pakistan and China.”
Defence Analyst Lt. General (R) Talat Masood said: “China always supported Pakistan and we have good relations. China is working for the development of Pakistan and Afghanistan. China is willing to curb terrorism from Afghanistan with the help of Pakistan. Pakistan China Economic Corridor will link up Pakistan and China with the states of Central Asia.”
