Islamabad believes in regional connectivity: Ahsan

Minister for Planning, Development and Reforms Ahsan Iqbal says Pakistan believes in the vision of regional connectivity for shared prosperity.

He was addressing a conference on Pakistan-China-Iran: A Trident of Regional Connectivity, organized by Institute of Strategic Studies, in Islamabad today (Tuesday).   

The Minister said Vision-2035 finalized by the leadership of the country has seven pillars and one of them is about the regional connectivity.

He said Pakistan is at the intersection of South Asia, China and Central and West Asia and it can connect three billion people in one big economic zone.

Later, addressing a Police Darbar in Islamabad on Tuesday, Ahsan Iqbal said police has to transform itself into a people friendly apparatus.    

He lauded the role and sacrifices being rendered by police personnel to maintain peace and security.

The Minister said by ensuring peace and stability, Police can play a crucial role in economic development and prosperity of the country.
