In Afghanistan, ten Daesh militants were killed and their posts destroyed in an operation by security forces in Achin district of Nangarhar province.

The provincial government of Nangarhar says the operation will continue till the surrounding areas of the district are cleared of militants.

Meanwhile, two militants were killed and six others arrested during a night raid in eastern Wardak province.

According to Afghan National Directorate of Security, the Special Unit of the Directorate which conducted the successful raid also recovered a depot of explosive materials
