A child under 15 dies every five seconds around world: UN report

The United Nations says an estimated 6.3 million children below the age of 15 died last year, mostly of preventable causes.

The United Nations Children's Fund in its joint report with World Health Organization said one child under 15 died every five seconds last year. The report said that most of the children under 5 die due to preventable or treatable causes such as complications during birth, pneumonia, diarrhea, neonatal sepsis and malaria.
