Turkey has said that its removal from the F-35 fighter jet program would also have “adverse” effects on NATO's power.

Talking to the state news agency, Defense Minister Hulusi Akar said that unilateral and unfair decision to remove Turkey from F-35 project is not based on legitimate justification by the US.

Earlier, Washington announced Turkey out of the F-35 fighter jet program over the purchase of the Russian S-400 anti-air system.

On the other hand, fifteen shipments of Russian S-400 missile system have been received by Turkey.
