A. Z. Hilali (Expert on International Relations):
Merger of FATA with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is the top priority of the incumbent government. The PTI-led government is determined to counter every challenge for the development of underprivileged areas of the country. People of FATA are equal citizens of Pakistan and they should not feel any sense of inferiority and deprivation. Prime Minister Imran Khan has given the confidence and surety that people of FATA will have equal opportunities of prosperity and development in future. The incumbent government is taking concrete measures to mainstream people of FATA by awarding them equal economic opportunities, health and educational facilities at their door steps. Unfortunately previous governments ignored and marginalized the people of FATA. Judicial and administrational and institutional reforms in FATA are underway. Pakistan security forces have rendered matchless sacrifices to maintain security and Law and order situation in tribal areas of the country. FATA reform is time taking process and we have to be patient to reap the fruit of the merger.
Dr. Huma Baqai (Expert on International Relations):
It is very unfortunate that FATA has always remained the most-politically manipulated and economically neglected area of the country. The previous governments neglected and ignored the people of FATA, and little efforts had been made to connect the people of FATA with other parts of the country. Prime Minister Imran Khan has adopted very proactive approach for the people of FATA, who are unhappy with the state. Educational and technological reforms are imperative for economical empowerment of FATA.
Dr. Amna Mehmood (Expert on International Relations):
India is habitual of leveling baseless allegations against Pakistan. India has faced severe embarrassment and discrimination in recent Pulwama episode at international front. Pakistan is following the policy of peace whereas; India is pursuing the policy of offensive realism. Indian hegemonic designs are based on miscalculations and false assumptions. Modi has failed to use bashing Pakistan card in election. It stands exposed that Pulwama attack was planned and executed by Modi government for political interests. International community has endorsed Pakistan’s stance in Pulwama incident. Opening of Kartarpur border to facilitate and oblige Indian Sikh community is diplomatic victory of Pakistan.
Ali Sarwar Naqvi (Former Ambassador):
Truth has prevailed that India misguided the world. Sushma Swaraj’s recent confession regarding futile attack on Pakistan has exposed Indian false propaganda against Pakistan. It is unfortunate that India always acts irresponsibly and immaturely. International media has also exposed Indian weak militarization and war unpreparedness.
Zafar Nawaz Jaspal (IR Expert):
The world has exposed and rejected Indian false claims regarding Pulwama attack. Indian political and military leadership displayed a very irresponsible attitude after Pulwama attack. BJP’s hostile and anti-Pakistan policies for diminutive political gains are posing serious threat to regional peace. It is unfortunate that Indian politics are based on anti Pakistan sentiments.
Dr. Rasheed Ahmed Khan (IR Expert):
The people of FATA have rendered matchless sacrifices for the country. Unfortunately the previous governments did not take concrete steps to mainstream the people of FATA .The people of FATA have been facing deprivation for last many decades.70 percent population of FATA is living below the poverty line. It is appreciable that incumbent government has shown its concerns regarding the welfare of the people of FATA and development of the most underprivileged area. Tribal areas of Pakistan have great potential for tourism industry.
