Pakistan cricket team leaves for UAE on Tuesday

The one-day cricket series between Pakistan and Australia will kick off in UAE from Friday.

First match of the five-match series will be played at Sharjah on Friday.

In this regard, Pakistan cricket team will leave for the United Arab Emirates, today, for a five-match one-day international series against Australia starting from Friday in Dubai.

Shoaib Malik will lead the team in the series.

Six players from the previous squad have been rested, including skipper Sarfaraz Ahmed.

Fast bowler Mohammad Hasnain, who impressed in the recently concluded Pakistan Super League with his raw pace, has been included in the squad.

The squad includes:

Shoaib Malik (captain), Abid Ali, Faheem Ashraf, Haris Sohail, Imad Wasim, Imam-ul-Haq, Junaid Khan, Mohammad Abbas, Mohammad Amir, Mohammad Hasnain, Mohammad Rizwan, Saad Ali, Shan Masood, Umar Akmal, Usman Shinwari and Yasir Shah.

Meanwhile, the PCB has confirmed umpire and match referee appointments for the upcoming ODI series.

The ICC has appointed Jeff Crowe of the elite panel as the series match referee, while Kumar Dharmasena and Michael Gough of the elite and international panels, respectively will share the on-field and TV umpires’ responsibilities.

The PCB has appointed Ahsan Raza, Asif Yaqoob, Rashid Riaz and Shozab Raza for the on-field and fourth umpires’ roles.
