Abdul Hadi Mayar (Director News, Radio Pakistan):
Prime Minister Imran Khan is making all out efforts for regional peace whereas the present Indian government is targeting Muslims within India. The Indian forces are continuously violating LoC and last year Indian Air force held an attack in Balakot sector of Pakistan and firing on civilians across the LoC and the Working Boundary that created a lot of damage. Despite of all this, Pakistan is exercising patience and invited India a number of times for dialogue. Prime Minister Imran Khan effectively highlighted the issue of Kashmir at UNGA forum. The Kashmiris are being deprived of their fundamental right to self-determination. The entire Kashmir valley is under clampdown and all modes of communications are still blocked.
Brig (Retd) Said Nazir (Defense Analyst):
China has supported the narrative of Pakistan to resolve Kashmir issue in accordance with the UN Resolutions. The minorities in India have expressed solidarity with Muslims as Indian government has passed a discriminatory citizenship bill specifically targeting Muslims. Indian government is facing pressure from within India as well. India may stage a false flag operation just to divert the world's attention from the failure of its policies. Pakistan is capable to respond to any Indian aggression at any time but the region cannot afford any type of war at this period of time.
Fayyaz ul Hassan Chohan (Information Minister Punjab)
Sardar Usman Buzdar would continue to stay in the office for next three years. For the first time in the history of Punjab, 35 percent budget would be spent on the development of South Punjab. Chief Minister Punjab is doing a good job for which he must be encouraged. The Punjab government had taken timely measures for ensuring the availability of flour at the fixed price and its efforts in this regard. Usman Buzdar was running the province in an effective manner.
Mirza Ikhtiyar Baig (Economist):
The government is trying to ensure the availability of wheat supply. Prime Minister Imran has taken the notice of the matter and directed the concerned authorities to look for an immediate resolution over the inflation-related crisis. The government must initiate a grand operation against those involved in hoarding of flour and selling it at exorbitant rates. Strict action should be taken against the officers involved in irregularities and negligence from duties.
Dr. Abid Qayyum Sulehri (Economist):
Prime Minister Imran Khan on Friday has taken notice of the inflating prices of flour across the country as the price of flour has gone up and has directed the provincial government to take measures in this regard. The federal government has been trying to control the increasing inflation and ensuring to provide the basic commodities on cheaper rates to common masses.
