President Mamnoon Hussain says the Government is committed to provide affordable and best medical healthcare facilities to the general public.   

He was addressing the 35th undergraduate convocation of Army Medical College in Rawalpindi on Thursday.

The President said medicine is a sacred profession and it is the responsibility of medical practitioners and professionals to work with dedication in alleviating the sufferings of needy people.

He said Pakistan is a developing country with limited resources and it is the responsibility of the young talent to use their creative skills to find ways and means to make medical treatment easy and inexpensive.

Mamnoon Hussain urged the youth to be optimistic in their approach as the country is now treading fast on the road to progress.

He said with China Pakistan Economic Corridor project in implementation phase the youth are provided with vast opportunities to benefit from.

The President noted with appreciation that as a result of sound economic policies of the government the country's economic growth rate has reached 5.28 percent. He said the Government is also endeavouring to improve the living standard of farmers by ensuring sustained agricultural growth.

Expressing pleasure over the large number of female graduates with excellent performance, the Prescient said women make more than half of the total population so they should put optimum efforts forward in the process of national development.

He also urged the young doctors to avoid the malpractices in vogue these days in the medical profession.
