Pakistan wants to strengthen ties with EU in field of culture, media, film production: Marriyum
Information Minister talks to EU Ambassador Jean-François Cautain in Islamaba
Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Marriyum Aurangzeb says Pakistan wants cooperation with European Union in the field of culture, media training, and film production.
Talking to EU Ambassador Jean-François Cautain in Islamabad, she said film, culture, heritage, and tourism can change stereotype about various societies and countries.
The Minister of State said the government fully believes in freedom of expression, as it is compulsory for a democratic society.
Commenting on security situation in the country, she said backbone of terrorists has been broken through operation Raddul Fasaad.
The EU Ambassador assured complete cooperation to Pakistan in its war against terrorism, stabilizing democracy and protecting human rights.
Meanwhile, Parliamentary Task Force on Sustainable Development Goals held its meeting in Islamabad.
The meeting was chaired by Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Marriyum Aurangzeb, who is also Convener of the Task Force.
Addressing the meeting, she emphasized the vital role of parliamentarians in improving and strengthening immunization campaign at constituency level.
The meeting discussed the sustainable development goals on good health and routine immunization.
