India using resources for suppressing Kashmirisâ€™ voice: Sartaj
Sartaj Aziz says Indian forces have deprived Kashmiri people of their basic rights.
Advisor to Prime Minister on Foreign Affairs and National Security, Sartaj Aziz has urged OIC to keep a vigil on human rights violations in Occupied Kashmir.
Addressing a two-day conference of OIC Foreign Ministers in Jeddah, he said India is occupying the territory with a might of seven hundred thousand troops.
He said India is using its resources for suppressing the voice of Kashmiri people.
Sartaj Aziz said custodial killings, fake encounters and disappearances of Kashmiri youth have become order of the day.
He said that a number of Kashmiri leaders have been kept under house arrest and are denied passports.
The Advisor urged upon the OIC to extend support to Kashmiri people for their right of self-determination.
Addressing the session, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Chairman of Council of Foreign Ministers of the Saud Al-Faisal emphasized the need to unite the Ummah.
He urged Muslim World to intensify the efforts to come up with results to restore stability and advance social and economic development.
He was addressing the 41st Session of the Council of Foreign Ministers OIC in Jeddah being held under the title of "Exploring Areas of Islamic Cooperation''.
The Foreign Minister of Guinea Lounceny Fall stressed the need to focus on the development of infrastructure to promote Islamic economies and achieve the vision of Islamic Cooperation; a prerequisite to face the volatility in the region.
