Arrangements complete to provide maximum relief to IDPs
Tent-villages established for IDPs in settled districts near North Waziristan.
The Federal Government has completed all necessary arrangements to provide maximum relief to the Internally Displaced Persons from North Waziristan Agency.
Talking to newsmen in Bannu on Wednesday, Minister for States and Frontier Regions Abdul Qadir Baloch said tent villages have been established for the IDPs in settled districts near North Waziristan Agency.
All basic facilities including clean drinking water, health and electricity have been arranged in the tent-villages.
The Minister said initially Rs 12,000 will be provided to each family of IDPs. Later on they would be provided Rs 7000 on monthly basis.
The same facilities would also be given to the people who shifted to safer places within North Waziristan Agency. He said that special points have been set up for registration of the IDPs.
Answering a question, Abdul Qadir Baloch said so far one hundred thousand people have been shifted to settled districts from North Waziristan Agency.
