Third Shahbaz Sharif T-20 Cup Cricket Tournament started at Government Degree College, Satellite Town in Rawalpindi on Sunday.

The tournament will continue till 7th of the next month. Twenty one Union Council based Cricket Teams are contesting in the Tournament.

The winner team of the tournament will be awarded three hundred thousand rupees while two hundred thousand rupees will be given to the runner up team.  The man of the series would get 25,000 while each man of the match would be given 5000 rupees.

Addressing the opening ceremony, Chairman Metro Bus System Muhammad Hanif Abbasi said that international level facilities of cricket and other sports events had been provided to the youngsters of Rawalpindi.

He said Chief Minister Punjab Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has provided 1.8 billion rupees for provision of sports facilities. He said that two new football stadiums would be set up in Rawalpindi besides provision of facilities for other sports events.

Speaking on the occasion, MNA Malik Ibrar Ahmed said that best sports and recreational facilities are being provided in cantonment areas.

Earlier, March past was held in which teams marched in front dice.
