Pakistan and Saudi Arabia vows to continue fighting terrorism and reinforce the mechanism to roll back extremism with even greater vigour. This understanding was reached during a meeting between Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa and Saudi King Salman bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud in Riyadh today. They agreed that both the countries share great history of cordial relations and deep spirit of brotherhood which has transformed into an enduring partnership.

The Government has taken various steps to eliminate load-shedding of electricity in the country by the year 2018. According to official sources, the government is focusing on exploring, acquiring and utilizing affordable, sustainable and modern energy resources. Under China Pakistan Economic Corridor, electricity generations projects having total capacity of 17045 MW are being implemented. These include Wind, Solar, Hydro and Coal generation projects.

In next phase of CPEC, Karachi-Peshawar railway tracks to be made signal-free

Under the next phase of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor, Karachi-Peshawar railway tracks will be made signal-free and gate-free. Work on the project will be initiated in January and the first phase will focus on the Rawalpindi-Peshawar tracks.

Anti-polio campaign to begin in Punjab, Balochistan and Gilgit from tomorrow

A three-day anti-polio vaccination campaign will begin in Punjab from Monday. Eighteen point four million children below the age of five years would be administered polio drop. Forty-four thousand six hundred and fifty-four teams have been constituted to achieve the target.

100,000 youth to be imparted technical training during 2017

Minister of State for Capital Administration and Development Division Tariq Fazal Chaudhry has said that one hundred thousand youth will be imparted technical training during the next year. Addressing a function of National Vocational and Technical Training in Islamabad on Sunday, he said that technical training is the best way to utilize the energies and skills of the youth.

UNSC to vote on whether to send observers to Aleppo
