While lauding the state of the art e-Khidmat Center inaugurated by the Chief Minister Punjab Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif directed Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) to establish such centers in the remaining 27 districts by December 2017, in a meeting in Lahore on Tuesday. Establishment of e-Khidmat Centers in 9 districts of Punjab is a remarkable achievement by PITB which needs to be appreciated at all levels and projected through an awareness campaign at massive scale. E-Khidmat Centers have direct impact on the service delivery to the citizen which was our foremost duty to facilitate the common man for availing the departmental services within the shortest time through a simplified process and in a corruption free atmosphere, he said.

Shahbaz Sharif gave a thumping applause and appreciated the PITB team under the leadership of Dr. Umar Saif Chairman PITB who made the dream come true. The services extended through these centers by the officials involved should be monitored and appreciated by a reward and punishment regime through enactment of Punjab Right to Services Act, he added.

Formal inauguration of e-Khidmat centers at Gujranwala and Sahiwal is being scheduled in near future. At present 17 different services are being extended to the common man through these centers.
