The Supreme Court will announce its verdict in the Panama papers Case at 2 p.m on Thursday.

The verdict was reserved by the Apex court on 23rd February this year.The case was heard by a 5-member bench headed by Justice Asif Saeed Khosa.

Topic 2: Nisar reiterates his call that nobody should be allowed to enter Pakistan without completing immigration procedures.

High level meeting in Islamabad decided that after suspension of landing permits, all foreigners entering Pakistan without valid visas or without completing immigration process would be proceeded against under the law.The meeting was chaired by Interior Minister Ch. Nisar Ali Khan.He took note of visa irregularities and breach of security protocols by the advance teams and accompanying staff of various hunting parties and asked for putting in place an effective system for streamlining and checking any breach of law.

Topic 3: Fatmi says “Strategic dialogue has played in facilitating mutually beneficial cooperation between the US and Pakistan”

This was stated by Special Assistant to Foreign Affairs Syed Tariq Fatemi, while talking to US Acting Special Representative for Afghanistan and Pakistan Laurel Miller who called on in Islamabad today.
The SAPM reiterated Pakistan’s concern over the deteriorating security situation in Afghanistan and conveyed Pakistan’s readiness to work with the US to support efforts for peace and reconciliation in Afghanistan.The SAPM noted that the visit by Lt. General H. R. McMaster provided a good opportunity for both sides to reaffirm their commitment to strengthen the bilateral relationship and to engage in a meaningful conversation on exploring ways and means to promote peace and stability in the region and beyond.

Topic 4: Pakistan vigilant in safeguarding waters of its three western rivers, senate told

Minister of State said Pakistan is very vigilant in safeguarding waters of three Western Rivers allotted to it under Indus Waters Treaty.Any violation of the treaty is promptly protested by Pakistan on the relevant forum. He said at present India has no storage work constructed on the waters of the three Western Rivers namely Sindh, Jhelum and Chenab.India has the right to construct the Run-of-River Hydroelectric plants on our Western Rivers within the limits of design and operational criteria provided in the Indus Waters Treaty.

Topic 5: Janjua emphasizes the significance of political reconciliation for a lasting and durable solution.

US Special Representative for Afghanistan and Pakistan Ms. Laurel Miller called on National Security Adviser Nasser Khan Janjua in Islamabad.Matters pertaining to peace process in Afghanistan, counter-terrorism and Pakistan-India relations came under discussion in the meeting.National Security Adviser stressed the need for seeking an early closure to the decades old conflict in Afghanistan, which has wreaked a heavy toll on both Afghanistan and Pakistan.  The two sides agreed to explore and work together on all options for expediting the process of reconciliation in Afghanistan.

Topic 6: Dastgir Khan says that Pakistan merchandise exports rose by ten percent in March last year.

Making a policy statement in the Senate this afternoon, he said last month was the fourth one for this fiscal year in which Pakistan's exports increased on yearly basis with a highest record in November last year, when exports rose to 6.2 percent as compared to November, 2015.
Pakistan's services exports in February this year nearly doubled that is a rise of 90 percent compared monthly basis to January this year and also rose 90 percent compared to yearly basis in February last year.
Exports of high value added textile products, oil products like readymade garments and bedware items have risen.

Topic 7: Theresa may announces snap general election on June 8

UK Prime Minister Theresa May has announced plans to call for early general election on 8 June.
In a statement issued today, she said it was the only way to guarantee political stability for years ahead as Britain negotiates its way out of the European Union.She said legislation would be introduced to pave the way for the early election.Under current legislation, the next election was not scheduled to take place until 2020.

Topic 8: Pence assures Japan America is with ally '100 percent'

The US Vice President Mike Pence has assured Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe that the United States is ready to work closely with its Asian allies in the region to achieve a peaceful resolution and the denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula.Pence who arrived in Tokyo today from Seoul for talks with Abe said that President Trump is determined to work with Japan, South Korea and with all our allies in the region including China to resolve the problem.In response, Japanese Prime Minister said it is a matter of much importance for us to seek diplomatic efforts for peaceable settlements of the issue.
