Minister for Information and Broadcasting Senator Shibli Faraz says the government will spend fifteen to twenty billion rupees on the digitalization of Radio Pakistan.
Presiding over a meeting of sectional heads in broadcasting house Peshawar on Sunday, he said the government has devised a comprehensive mechanism for this purpose.
He said all the outdated transmitters of Radio Pakistan will be replaced gradually to strengthen and restore its historical status.
The minister stressed the need for broadcasting of quality programmes from Radio Pakistan to educate, inform and entertain the public.
Shibli Faraz said Radio Pakistan is a strong and effective source of information in this digital era.
Referring to various issues of employees, the minister said these issues will be resolved on priority basis.
Shibli Faraz emphasized for preparing an electronic mechanism to check the radio listener live. He said the government will provide health cards to artists of Radio Pakistan.
Later, he visited various sections of Radio Pakistan Peshawar.
Meanwhile, in an interview in Radio Pakistan Peshawar, Minister for Information and Broadcasting Senator Shibli Faraz has said that the prudent policies of Prime Minister Imran Khan has put the country on the path of rapid progress and development.
He said the government is actively working to strengthen the national institutions.
Referring to PDM public gatherings, the minister said the rejected political leaders are trying to create unrest in the country.
