In India, at least five million people lost their jobs between 2016 and 2018 due to bad economic policies of the BJP led Modi government.
A Bengaluru-based private university in a report said that Modi’s abrupt withdrawal of high-value currency notes from circulation in November 2016 disrupted small businesses and sparked layoffs.
The report said that unemployed were mostly higher educated and young people, in the 20-24 age range.
