Russia says the upcoming new round of United States sanctions against it will be senseless like previous ones.

Talking to media in Moscow, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said that Russia will counter the US move.

A bill introduced in the US Senate stipulates introducing sanctions against 24 agents of the Russian Federal Security Service, whom Washington accuses of being linked to the Kerch Strait incident when Russia detained 24 Ukrainian seamen over violating the rules of passage.
