Govt vows to hold local bodies’ elections at earliest: Haider
AJK PM says sufficient funds would be provided to local councils for redressal of public issues at their door steps.
In Azad Jammu and Kashmir, the Coordination Council of Local Government and Rural Development Department has accorded approval to development projects costing 150 million rupees.
The approval was given in a meeting presided over by Prime Minister Azad Kashmir Raja Farooq Haider Khan in Muzaffarabad on Wednesday.
Speaking on this occasion, Raja Farooq Haider Khan directed the concerned authorities to complete all development schemes being run under Prime Minister Community Infrastructure Development Program till 30th of next month.
He said the government is committed to hold local bodies’ elections at the earliest so that powers could be transferred to gross root level.
He said sufficient funds would be provided to local councils for the redressal of public issues at their door steps.
