Chief Minister says terrorism and energy crisis have caused irreparable loss to national economy
The Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has urged for collective efforts to resolve problems facing the country and for political and socio-economic uplift of the country.
He was addressing a function of Punjab Investment Board in Lahore.
He said that Pakistan is facing terrorism, extremism and energy crisis which caused irreparable loss to the development process and national economy. He said that Pak Army is fighting against terrorism and terrorists bravely.
The Chief Minister stressed the need of collective effort for rapid development. He said Punjab government has constituted Punjab Investment Board to facilitate investors taking vigorous steps for promotion of investment in the province.
Shahbaz Sharif said that sit-ins and protest politics created hindrance in the journey of development last year due to which visit of Chinese President to Pakistan and development projects were delayed.
He said that investment is increasing in the country due to transparent policy of the government which reflects confidence of foreign investors in the government's policies. He said that present government has introduced the culture of good governance, transparency and speedy completion of development projects.
He expressed hope that historic economic package of forty-six billion dollars of China will strengthen the national economy.
Shahbaz Sharif said that power sector is of great importance for our survival and economic development and Punjab government is utilizing all out resources for eliminating energy crisis.
