China expresses interest in investing in KP
Ambassador Sun Weidong says work under way on several energy projects in the province
China is keenly interested in investing in commerce, industrial, power and education sectors in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa.
It was stated in a joint communique issued in Islamabad after a meeting between Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan Sun Weidong and Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Pervez Khattak.
The Chinese Ambassador briefed the Chief Minister about the latest projects being carried out in the province by Chinese companies. He said that work is underway on various energy projects in the province to produce over two thousand seven hundred megawatts of electricity.
He also offered Chinese assistance for Primary Education Sector and an interaction with commerce and industries sectors. He also offered Chinese assistance in the field of Education, Health and Technical Training.
Speaking on this occasion, the Chief Minister assured full security and cooperation of the government to Chinese investors in the province.
He also informed the Chinese envoy about investment opportunities for local and foreign investors in hydro-power generation, minerals and oil and gas sectors.
Pervez Khattak also discussed Pakistan China Economic Corridor project and stressed on equitable distribution of resources for development of backward areas along the corridor.
