Yemen govt agrees to UN plan to ease sufferings of people
UN proposed to keep Hodeidah Port out of fighting
Yemeni government has agreed to a UN plan to ease suffering in the country's civil war.
Yemeni Foreign Minister Abdel-Malek al-Mekhlafi said in a tweet his government renewed its acceptance of the proposals first made by UN Yemen envoy Ismail Ould Cheikh Ahmed last month.
The UN has proposed that Hodeidah port on the Red Sea, where some 80 percent of Yemen's food imports arrive, should be kept out of the fighting and turned over to a neutral party.
