Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Marriyum Aurangzeb says Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has presented himself and the entire family for accountability.


Talking to media persons in Islamabad today, she said the accountability process against Nawaz Sharif was started in Musharraf and PPP regimes but nothing could be proved against him.


She said the Prime Minister will come out victorious this time as well from this court as well as the court of public next year. 


Marriyum Aurangzeb said the way the Prime Minister presented himself before law and constitution, the PTI chairman should also appear before the court the same way.



In Sindh, four hundred seventy seven Megawatt of electricity produced through wind mills has been added to the national grid during the last one year.


Our Karachi correspondent reports that the total power producing capacity of wind power projects now stands at seven hundred eighty five megawatts which will be enhanced to one thousand eighty five megawatts during next financial year.


Official sources said thirty billion rupees World Bank funded Sindh Renewable Energy development Project is also being initiated in the next financial year.



In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, work on construction of seventeen Industrial Economic Zones is in progress, under China Pakistan Economic Corridor.


Official sources told Radio Pakistan's Peshawar correspondent that these zones are being constructed in Hattar, Rashakai, Ghazi, Jalozai, Chitral, Bannu, Karak, D.I.Khan, Nowshera, Buner, Swat, Gadoon, Jehangira, Mansehra, Kohat, Battagram and Risalpur.


The project will be completed at a cost of about thirty-three billion rupees by 2025.



Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has allocated forty billion rupees for uplift of police department.


Official sources told our Peshawar correspondent that the amount will be spent on establishment of police training schools in Nowshera, Swabi and Swat districts and construction of police training directorate.


The sources added that seven police lines, thirty-three police stations and eighty-eight police posts will be established in different areas of the province.


The amount will also be spent on recruitment of four thousand constables, establishment of rapid response force and special combat unit and training of police force.



Seven leading Pakistani companies from a range of industries will participate in the three day 'Select USA Investment Summit' beginning in Washington tomorrow.


In a statement, US ambassador to Pakistan David Hale said this is the first time that world class Pakistani companies will participate in the summit which provides a forum for deepening economic ties between the two countries.


Besides Pakistan, representatives from all American states and territories and more than sixty five international markets will also participate in the Summit.

In Lahore, a procession in connection with Youm-i-Ali (R.A.) was taken out from Mubarak Haveli inside Bhati Gate that will culminate at Karbala Gamay Shah.


In Karachi, main procession of the day is being taken out from Nishtar Park.  After passing through its traditional routes, the procession will culminate at Imambargah Hussainia Iranian at Kharadar.


Special arrangements have been made to provide security to the mourners attending majalis and processions.



Radio Pakistan is broadcasting three day special programs to mark the martyrdom anniversary of the fourth Caliph of Islam.


In this connection, a program titled "Muqam e Saydena Ali Karam Ullah Waj Ho Sahaba e Kram ki Nazar Mein" will be aired at 03:20 pm today. 



Sindh Rangers have arrested four most wanted terrorists, during an action at Baldia and Orangi Town areas of Karachi


According the Rangers' spokesman, these terrorists belong to a banned organization who were hatching a terrorist plot on the eve of Yome-e-Ali in the city.


Huge quantity of arms and ammunition, including a suicide jacket and explosive material were also recovered from the terrorists.



World Day to Combat Desertification and Drought is being observed today.


Its aim is to highlight ways and means to prevent desertification and drought at global level.


This year, theme of the Day is  “Our land,Our home,Our Future”.

In occupied Kashmir, six Indian policemen including a station house officer have been killed in an attack in Islamabad district.


Some unknown attackers opened fire on a police party travelling in a vehicle in Achabal area of the district.


Two civilians also sustained bullet injuries in the shootout by Indian forces’ personnel.



Meanwhile, Indian troops, in their continued acts of state terrorism have martyred one more youth at Arwani area of Kulgam district, raising the toll to five in the area since yesterday. 


Body of another youth was recovered from the debris of the two houses destroyed by the troops during a violent military operation in the area. Two bodies were recovered yesterday.


Complete shutdown is being observed in the occupied territory against the killing of youth by the troops.


Call for the shutdown has been given by the joint resistance leadership comprising Syed Ali Gilani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik.


On the other hand, puppet authorities have imposed restrictions in Srinagar and other parts of the Kashmir Valley to prevent people from staging demonstrations against the killing of youth.



Syrian military has announced the cessation of all combat operations in the southern city of Daraa for 48 hours in support of national reconciliation.


The announcement comes after the contested city witnessed some of the worst fighting in months amid fears by opposition activists that the government will try to take Daraa, where the country's civil war began in 2011.


Meanwhile, activists said that de-escalation agreement brokered by Iran, Russia and Turkey in May has not brought any relief to the city. The agreement covers four zones in Syria where the rebels are fighting with  pro-government forces.




The final of the ICC Champions Trophy between Pakistan and India will be played at The Oval tomorrow.
